Sep 30, 2015 - The Internet, of course, oozes with lists. This time of year, many of them are related to college football. 

 

In addition to all the college football rankings, one can find lists noting things like the best college towns and best tailgating towns.

 

And that's all well and good; we love college football. But football can't make us forget fishing in the fall. Fishing is one of fall's other great outdoor activities.

 

Thinking of the best places to take in college football made us think of the best fishing towns — not lakes, not rivers, but towns. Fortunately for us, and now you, Field & Stream has us covered. It rated the country's top 20 fishing towns, and we were happy to see largemouth/trout haven Mountain Home from our home state of Arkansas included.
